Salty Shrimp Black Water Powder - SE/Fulvin+

Black Water Powder is a mixture of valuable trace elements, as well as humic and fulvic acids with a variety of positive properties for your aquarium and its inhabitants.

The effect of humic acids
Polyphenols, quinones and stable radicals are primarily responsible for the effect. They promote immunity and multiple resistances to stress. It is known that humic substances strengthen the immune system by activating white blood cells and lead to further cellular defense mechanisms.

The influence of humic acids has been shown to increase the lifespan of killifish (Nothobranchius furzeri) by approximately 15%. A gene expression analysis in Caenorhabditis elegans (nematode) showed that the genes that specifically encode life extension are activated. In particular, various gentle stress proteins (HSP) are expressed, which have been shown to be beneficial for life extension and resistance.

In experiments with heavy-bearers (Xiphophorus helleri), multiple stress immunity was found using humic acid. In zebrafish (Danio rerio), it was also apparent that even a low concentration of humic acid had a positive effect on egg development.

For blackwater fish, survival without humic substances in acidic and mineral-poor waters is even completely impossible. The pH value then no longer plays a major role in water enriched with humic acid. However, the mode of action has not yet been fully deciphered. What is certain, however, is that humic substances make surfaces adherent (sticky) and the cohesion (cohesion force) of the water is eliminated. In fish or shrimp, when deposited on the gill epithelium, the humic substances enriched with bases provide improved osmoregulation with less energy expenditure against a strong gradient in the water. Less energy expenditure for osmosis regulation means better use of resources for growth and development. Passive immunization also occurs externally in fish, as the cell membranes are tanned by protein excretions, thus promoting an indirect defense against invading pathogens.



Instructions for use
Simply sprinkle the appropriate amount onto the water surface. Black Water Powder is easily soluble in water under all pH conditions. Please note that this will cause a temporary brown cloudiness in the water, but this will quickly turn into crystal clear water. If the cloudiness persists for several days, please check the filter or reduce the dosage if necessary.

Depending on the stocking level, add about 1g per 50 litres of water per week.
