Shirakura Liquid Mineral Ca+ 100ml

Shirakura Liquid Mineral Ca+ adds vital minerals to the aquarium water and increases the total hardness (GH). Particularly in very soft water, a lack of minerals can quickly occur and shrimps can suffer from color loss and molting problems. The important microorganisms in the filter and substrate are also inactive and the water quality deteriorates more quickly. For the breeding of bee shrimps, a carbonate hardness (KH) of 0 - 2 is aimed for and to avoid ammonia, a pH value of less than 7. However, with such values, the total hardness (GH ) is too low and you should urgently harden it with Liquid Mineral Ca+ to avoid the shrimp dying. The carbonate hardness (KH) is not changed by this. Mr. Shirakura recommends at least a GH of 5 or higher for a healthy and strong shell.


Application example

When setting up a new aquarium, mix 5 ml (approx. 60 drops) of Liquid Mineral Ca+ per 10 liters of water directly into the water. For existing aquariums with shrimps, add the dose over a few days. Mix the replacement water beforehand.

1 drop of Liquid Mineral Ca+ in 1 liter of water increases the GH by approx. 1° dGh.
