Heat can be generated on initial contact with water. For best results, the product should be bathed in twice the amount of fresh water and then rinsed. PhosGuard™ should be placed so that the grains are bathed as much as possible. However, they should not constantly roll over and bump into each other. Use in an external filter, filter chamber, filter box or in a well-rinsed position in a trickle filter.

The use of a filter bag is required .

Use 85 ml (1/3 cup) per 200 liters of salt water or 400 liters of fresh water. After 4 days of use, the concentration of phosphate or silicate should be determined. If the concentration of the undesirable substance has not fallen below 0.02 mg/l, PhosGuard™ should be renewed. Otherwise, leave it in the aquarium until the concentration increases again. The product is not used up as long as the concentrations remain within a controlled range. Overdosing is not recommended. PhosGuard™ is not an exchange resin and does not release any substances into the water. Phosphate or silicate does not return to the water. The product can be removed, dried and reused until it is used up. Continuous addition of small amounts is more effective than irregular addition of large amounts.
