The new soil background is something we know all too well in the invertebrate aquarium hobby. Everyone likes to use soil substrate, it has many advantages such as lowering the pH value, providing nutrients to plants and many more. However, it has one major disadvantage. It does not retain these properties forever and then what?

Rebuild the aquarium? Change the substrate? No thanks, the soil background is simply hung in the aquarium and filled with soil. When the soil is used up after a certain time, you can simply take the background out of the aquarium, empty it and refill it, done. Shrimppuddle has opted for a very unobtrusive design so that it is hardly noticeable on the back wall. With the glass holders included in the delivery, it can be mounted on panes between 3-6mm. A lid for secure closure is also included.

With the soil volume that the background can hold, we recommend using it in aquariums up to 30 liters.

(Soil should not be replaced suddenly when changing the soil. To be on the safe side, we recommend filling the box with new soil little by little over several weeks to avoid a drop in pH and a sudden change in the water values.)
